Hi anyone,
Does anyone post here?
I have 2 horses, and lost my 32 yr old mare this Spring.
Wondering what the hay situation is around U.S.

Sometimes. I know just how you feel - I lost a 31 year old mare last fall,
whom I had since she was 5. She was the "Old Grand Damme" of the farm, for
sure.

It's a hard thing....losing a horse. I had LooShon since she was 11, she
was my first horse. I bred her and she had a filly which I still have.
Treasure is 18 now. I also have a Paint mare that went through the
auction current and ended up here at a local sale. She's 8 yrs old and
deaf, but what a sweetie.

That's cool that you have the filly from LooShon. I too have Rainy's
offspring, a 16 year old Stud, who just this spring we bred to a
thoroughbred mare. Now I'm anxiously waiting for spring to roll around
again, where we (hopefully) will have our first foal in 10 years (we've had
one other since the colt was born).

Answering only for myself, it seems in Michigan we're doing a little better
here than last year. Then again, I only cut and bale what I need to get
through the year.
