I didn't know where to ask this, but thought this group might know. I saw
video of Barbaro walking without his right hind cast the other day and my
heart broke. Is it the special shoe on his foot that makes him hobble so? Or
will he always have to walk like that? For a horse that loved to run, to
think he will have such a hard time walking for the rest of his life is
terrible. Now the flare up of laminitis. As much as I love animals (an
insane amount) I'm starting to think it would be more humane to put him
down. He has been through so much & has to live in a stall for 8 months &
counting, and will never be able to even trot from the looks of it.
Thanks for any answers. He is always in my prayers!
